Northern Fleet (NF) - operational and strategic alliance Navy Russia.The basis of the present-day northern fleet is nuclear-powered missile and torpedo submarines, missile-carrying and anti-submarine aircraft, missile, aircraft carriers and anti-submarine ships.

The Baltic Fleet (BF) - operational-strategic formation of the Navy of Russia on the Baltic Sea.The main points of basing - Baltiysk (Kaliningrad region) and Kronstadt (Leningrad region).
