Gepard arrives in Brazil
CAR antiaircraft GEPARD * [arrived 8 of 34 Gepard]
The car Gepard was developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann on the 70 and 80 with the goal of protecting armored forces from air attack, triggered by attack helicopters, which consisted of a major threat to armored within the European scenario of War cold.
This is a car equipped with two 35mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft guns, operating in conjunction with radar target acquisition and fire control tower on a rotating stabilized mounted on the chassis of the Leopard 1. (...)
