The Catira (Pt), that can also be called Cateretê, is a dance of the Brazilian folklore, in which the musical rhythm is marked by the beat of the feet and hands of the dancers. From hybrid origin, with indigenous, African and European influences, the Catira (or "the Catira") has choreography performed in Brazil (cowboys and farmers) and can be formed by six to ten components and a pair of violadores, and sing the fashion.(...)
