The eucalyptus farming or forestry (eucalyptus cultivation) still suffers a bit with a negative image, old and experts say misguided, since it is commonly based on myths about the impoverishment of the soil, fauna and water resources.
Scientific research done in regions of São Paulo with a high concentration of this activity by Embrapa Satellite Monitoring of Campinas, and the industry's concern and the market, have shown the opposite, since the culture in question is renewable resource, used increasingly for power generation, for wood supply, production of pulp and paper, among other products.
