(Bqp.vn) - Toward Lunar New Year 2015, on 4th February 2015, a delegation of the General Political Department head by Senior Lieutenant General Mai Quang Phan, member of Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics paid a visit to inspect and send new year greetings to the Military Zone 4 Command and some other agencies and units in the region.
On behalf of the Party Committee, Military Zone 4 Command, Lt. Gen. Vo Van Viet, the Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Zone 4 reported to the delegation on unit’s task performance in recent time. In 2014, Military Zone 4 successfully accomplished all assigned missions: ensuring internal solidarity and unity, gaining confidence of local people; maintaining friendly relations with Laos. In preparation for Lunar New Year 2015, the Standing Party Committee and the Command of Military Zone 4 have strictly carried out the planning and implementation of relevant documents to ensure safety, security, economy, high combat-readiness during Tet; the Command has sent 5 delegations to inspect and send New Year greetings to subordinate units particularly the remote and disadvantaged ones.
General Phan hailed the achievements achieved by the Military Zone 4 in 2014 and also emphasized that in 2015 the country's socio-economic situation will enjoy many advantages, yet destabilizing elements to national security and politics are still potential problems. Therefore, leaders, commanders at all levels have to strengthen the work of information orientation, political dissemination and education for officers and soldiers. In the coming time, Military Zone 4 should coordinate closely with local committees, governments and friendly country-Laos. In addition, the unit should maintain solidarity and unity to successfully accomplish assigned tasks, especially stay well-prepared for Party Congress at all levels and 70th Founding Anniversary of the Armed Forces of Military Zone 4 (15th October 1945 - 15th October 2015).
Earlier, General Mai Quang Phan had also visited and sent new year greetings to the Provincial Party Committee, Military Command and beneficiary nursing home of Thanh Hoa; inspected and sent New Year greetings to Nghe An Provincial Military Command, Brigade 283 (Military Zone 4) and presented gifts to beneficiary families in the province.
