"Chinese President Xi Jinping [xixi yellow-frog] to visit Pakistan next month"

ISLAMABAD - Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Pakistan in February to discuss bilateral relations and inaugurate projects in Pakistan being implemented with Chinese cooperation.

According to sources, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will come to Pakistan first to finalise security and schedule ahead of Xi’s visit. President Xi will hold talks over defence, energy and other fields with the top Pakistani leaders. Earlier, the Chinese president had been scheduled to visit Pakistan in mid-September last year but the visit was postponed due to opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) protest in Islamabad.
