O Ministério da Defesa de Israel anunciou ontem (July 02), a compra de mais 25 caças furtivos F-35, em um acordo avaliado em US$ 3 bilhões com a Lockheed Martin. A expansão do arsenal aéreo israelense ocorre em meio ao aumento das tensões com o Irã.
A aquisição adicional eleva a frota israelense de jatos F-35 de 50 para 75, o acordo deve ser finalizado nos próximos meses, segundo o ministério. Os caças formarão o terceiro esquadrão de aeronaves 'Adir'.
O negócio será financiado por meio do pacote de ajuda militar norte-americana, tanto a Lockheed Martin como a Pratt & Whitney, fornecedora dos motores, se comprometeram a envolver empresas israelenses na produção dos jatos.

Preferia levar pessoalmente um punhado de caixotes cheios. Esteve em todas as frentes, sempre jovial e animoso. A 5 de Setembro, depois de ter estado vários dias no Túnel ministrava as suas lições aos combatentes do setor de Bragança, no posto avançado de Joanópolis, quando uma das granadas explodiu inopinadamente, dilacerando-lhe o ventre e provocando forte hemorragia em consequência da qual morreu.
