Corruption scandal in Petrobras leads to chain representatives from eight of the largest contractors in the country and one former director of the state connected to PT“Hoje é um dia republicano. Essas companhias são responsáveis por quase todas as grandes obras do país. Os policiais federais vasculharam as salas das empresas ocupadas pelos suspeitos presos e também suas casas. Embora tendo executivos seus citados por Youssef e Paulo Roberto Costa, o ex-diretor da Petrobras preso em março, que está contribuindo nas investigações, não foram alvos das investidas policiais da sexta-feira passada dirigentes de outros dois gigantes do ramo: a Odebrecht e a Andrade Gutierrez. O juiz Sergio Moro recebeu pedido dos procuradores para emitir ordem de prisão contra dois altos executivos da Odebrecht. Euphorbia milii (crown of thorns, Christ plant, Christ thorn) is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family Euphorbiaciae, native to Madagascar. The species name commemorates Baron Milius, once Governor of Réunion, who introduced the species to France in 1821. It is suspected that the species was introduced to the Middle East in ancient times, and legend associates it with the crown of thorns worn by Christ.

Cattle are considered sacred in many religions, such as Hinduism, Jainism, and Zoroastrianism. Previous religions to Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome also had similar beliefs. In some regions, especially some states of India, the slaughter of cattle is prohibited and their meat may be taboo. The cow has been a symbol of wealth since ancient times. However, were not as inviolable and revered in the same way they are hoje.
The cow was possibly revered because the Hindus depend on them for consumption of milk and dairy products, to till the fields and their manure, fertilizer and fuel source. Thus, the status of the cow as caretaker led to her being identified as an almost maternal figure (hence the term gau mata). In ancient days the cattle were limited to a few lucky people, the cows were valued like gold or money. Moreover, it has been suggested by author and speaker Terence McKenna that religious reverence for the cow is the result of early association of humanity psilocybin mushroom with it, so this association has developed as a result of the discovery of the mushrooms mentioned in the animal droppings.
Hinduism is based on the concept of the omnipresence of the Divine, and the presence of soul in all creatures, including bovines. So, by that definition, killing any animal would be a sin: one would be obstructing the natural cycle of birth and death of this creature, and the creature would be reborn in the same way because of their unnatural death. Krishna, one of the incarnations of the Hindu god (Avatar) mythology, takes care of cows. The cow and the bull represent the symbol of Dharma, reverence for cows and bulls are the primary texts of the religion védica.
In southern India and parts of Sri Lanka, the festival is celebrated cattle and is called Mattu Pongal.
