Francisco remains a dangerous typhoon but has weakened greatly since reaching its peak intensity.
Earlier in the weekend, Francisco was deemed the world's second strongest storm of 2013, behind Super Typhoon Usagi.
Despite weakening, Francisco will still bring the threat of flash flooding, damaging winds and mudslides to areas around Tokyo.
