Russia Begins Military Exercises Amid Ukraine Tension | The Foreign Bureau

President Vladimir Putin put 150,000 Russian combat troops on high alert for war games near Ukraine on Wednesday, the Kremlin’s boldest gesture yet after days of sabre rattling since its ally Viktor Yanukovich was toppled as president in Kiev.  

Moscow denied that the previously unannounced drill in the western military district near Ukraine was linked to events in its neighbour but it came amid a series of increasingly strident statements about the fate of Russian citizens and interests.

Professor está entre os mortos de confronto entre polícia e assaltantes em Itamonte (MG) 

Homem foi sequestrado por criminosos; polícia cercou carro e atirou em assaltante e vítima

Um professor universitário está entre os mortos da troca de tiros entre policiais e membros de uma quadrilha de roubo a bancos em Itamonte, no sul de Minas, na madrugada de sábado (22). Silmar Júnior Madeira, que dava aulas de segurança do trabalho, foi atingido por policiais ao ser sequestrado por um dos criminosos.

Uma operação conjunta entre a Polícia Civil de São Paulo e a Polícia Rodoviária Federal de Minas Gerais (PRF-MG) acabou com nove bandidos mortos durante uma troca de tiros entre policiais e criminosos na cidade de Itamonte, na região Sul de Minas, no início da manhã de hoje (22).

Os criminosos chegaram na "Praça Padre Francisco Mira", no centro de Itamonte, por volta de 5h30, foram surpreendidos por um grupo de policiais civis e militares.

"Soviet star removed from top of Ukraine parliament"

A symbol of the former Soviet Union was removed from the top of Ukraine's parliament building on Tuesday, as protesters took down a golden star that sat atop the building's flag pole. Opposition leader Oleh Tyahnybok announced the star's removal in a parliament session on Tuesday, to no objections.

Ele já havia ganho uma Brasília doada por empresário de Curitiba. Agora, pretende ficar com os dois carros.

Manifestantes entregaram neste sábado (22) um novo carro para Itamar Santos, 54 anos, dono do Fusca que pegou fogo durante um protesto contra a Copa em São Paulo no dia 25 de janeiro. O Ford Ka azul entregue ao serralheiro foi comprado com o dinheiro arrecadado em uma 'vaquinha' virtual, que acumulou o valor de R$ 6.753.

Vandalismo

O incêndio no Fusca foi uma das consequências dos atos de vandalismo cometidos por mascarados na região central. O ato, que começou pacífico, chegou a reunir 2,5 mil pessoas.
