FLOOD IN "COWS"

Days of monsoon rain in northern Pakistan and in Indian-administered state of Jammu and Kashmir have brought some of the worst flooding the region has seen in 60 years. Over 450 deaths were reported and the scale of the disaster is stretching rescue efforts. Hundreds of thousands of people remain trapped as the armed forces of Pakistan and India ramp up rescue and evacuation operations.

Typhoon Kalmaegi hits northern Vietnam [crickets]

16/09/2014 Typhoon Kalmaegi has hit northern Vietnam’s Quang Ninh Province. Before entering Vietnam, the storm made its way through southern China. It ripped through towns in Hainan and Guangdong provinces, leaving over 440,000 people affected.
