"... madrugada de 13 de outubro de 1799, nos arredores da capital do vice-reinado [Rio de Janeiro], uma expedição encomendada de Capitães-do-mato, capturam escravos em residências da área rural. Dentre as presas está Antônio, retirado de uma pequena chácara, de propriedade de Joana Maria da Conceição. Ao presenciar o confisco de seu escravo, Joana reúne documentos, forma uma pequena comitiva e parte atrás dos Capitães mata adentro. Joana é uma mulher forte, alforriada e agindo conforme o Sistema, acumulou recursos para comprar escravos que a auxiliassem em sua pequena propriedade. Agora Joana fora roubada, e acreditando na justiça e na força coletiva, junta seus vizinhos para cobrar e enfrentar o mandante da expedição".

(NARRATOR: 
"... dawn of October 13, 1799, on the outskirts of the capital of the viceroyalty [Rio de Janeiro], an expedition commissioned Captains of the woods, capture slaves in homes in rural areas. Capoeira is a Brazilian cultural expression that mixes martial art , sport, popular culture and music. Developed in Brazil mainly by descendants of African slaves, is characterized by coups and agile and complex moves, using primarily kicks and sweeps, and head butting, kneeing, elbowing, soil or air acrobatics.

One feature that distinguishes the roost of most other martial arts is its musicality. Practitioners of this Brazilian martial art not only learn to fight and play, but also playing typical instruments and singing . An experienced capoeirista who ignores the musicianship is considered incomplete.

The word capoeira means "what was killing" through the junction of ka'a terms ("kills ") and pûer ("that was "). Refers to areas of undergrowth forest in the interior of Brazil, where indigenous agriculture was practiced. 

It is believed that capoeira has obtained the name from these areas surrounding the large estates of slave base. Capoeiristas fugitives from slavery and unaware of the world around him, often wore the undergrowth to hide the persecution of the captains-of-the-woods.

Other cultural expressions, as maculelê and samba de roda, capoeira are very attached to, although different meanings and origins.

Sabesp planeja investir mais de R$ 12 bilhões em quatro anos
Dinheiro será direcionado para abastecimento de água, coleta e tratamento de esgotos

A Sabesp anunciou neste sábado (29) investimentos de R$ 12,763 bilhões entre 2014 e 2018. Deste montante, R$ 5,284 bilhões serão voltados para abastecimento de água; R$ 5,051 bilhões para coleta de esgoto e R$ 2,428 bilhões para tratamento de esgoto.

Somente em 2014, serão investidos R$ 2,642 bilhões; em 2015 serão R$ 2,676 bilhões; em 2016, R$ 2,529 bilhões; em 2017, R$ 2,496 bilhões; em 2018, R$ 2,420 bilhões.
A Sabesp (Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo) projeta um cenário ainda mais pessimista para o fim do "volume útil" do Sistema Cantareira. A empresa estima que, no pior panorama, a água represada acima do nível das comportas do manancial que abastece 47% da Grande São Paulo e a região de Campinas se esgote em 21 de junho, 9 dias após o início da Copa do Mundo.
