Greetings to participants and guests at an evening marking National Unity Day

Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to participants and guests at an evening marking National Unity Day.
The message said, in particular:
“This celebration has its roots in distant times and recalls one of the most memorable and heroic pages in our history. Back then, in 1612, people of different classes, faiths, and ethnic groups took up the call to unite before a cruel and ruthless enemy.
The people decided Russia’s fate and future, freed the country from foreign intervention, overcame internal strife, and revived and strengthened the state. This victory was achieved through strength of spirit, national unity, and great love for the homeland.
I firmly believe that respect for our country’s history, patriotism, and responsibility before our forebears are the foundations of solid statehood and public harmony. In order to move forward, we must more often look back to our sources and traditions, preserve the memory of our national heroes and remain loyal to the lofty moral references they bequeathed to us”.
The President laid flowers at the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky on Red Square. Leaders of Russia’s traditional faiths and representatives of youth organisations also took part in the ceremony.
The President then visited the interactive exhibition Orthodox Russia. The Romanovs, marking the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty.
The National Unity Day holiday was established in 2005 in memory of the events of 1612, when Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky led a people’s volunteer army to liberate Moscow from foreign occupation.http://eng.kremlin.ru/news/6215

EsSA participa da Manobra Escolar/2013
In the period 4-15 November the School of Sergeants of Arms ( ESSA) is attending the Maneuver School year 2013. The activity includes the participation of cadets of 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of AMAN, students of the School of Sergeants of Arms ( ESSA), the Command of the Army Aviation (cavex), School of Sergeants Logistics (EsSLog), the school of Army Health (Essex), the field Hospital (H Camp), the Center for Personnel Studies (CEP) and various military organizations belonging to four distinct military commands area, totaling about 3,500 soldiers and more than 200 vehicles, 50 armored .
The activities will take place in regions comprised by the municipalities of Resende, Quatis, Landing and Field Instruction Academy. Exercise will keep your trend update, contemplating new framework tactical operations in the broad spectrum, non-linear and asymmetric conflict featuring 4th generation. Thus, the Maneuver School will provide opportunity for the various participants in the exercise lock touch with new concepts, such as: stability operations and support, information, evacuation of non-combatants, interagency, and humanitarian assistance .
The Maneuver School is the final exercise of the school year , which crowns all instructions given to the future 3rd Sergeant. It also represents the integration of field activities among the Educational Institutions of the Brazilian Army.
